About Us

To empower Milwaukee’s youth through the city’s only dedicated 4th–8th grade basketball program by fostering committed, talented, and positive athletes. We strive to develop athletic skills, teamwork, and character, while supporting families in guiding their children towards excellence in high school basketball and making Milwaukee's Ronald Reagan High School their top high school choice.

Our History

Founded in 2022 by Keondrae Speights, the program has grown from just a handful of girls teams to 5 full girls teams and 8 boys teams in 2024 - ranging from 3rd grade to 8th grade. Coach Speights, the head coach of the girls program at Reagan High School, started the program with the intent to establish a strong feeder program so that a city school could compete and offer a developmental program that can compete with the suburban schools. Coach Speights brings years of experience of coaching and training to the Jr Huskies and is involved with the coaching of several boys and girls teams and oversees the entire program.

Coach Cory Hanson started helping out in 2022 when his daughter joined the Jr Lady Huskies as a 6th grader. Coach Hanson, a former educator and longtime youth coach, is involved with the coaching of several girls teams and works with Coach Speights to keep the program growing.

Coach Nate Griff, former standout athlete at Bay View High School and former Varsity Coach at Bradley Tech High School, has been coaching with the Jr Lady Huskies for 2 years. He currently is coaching the 5th grade team.
